Values

Sally Ann is based on the following values and principles:



1.    Sally Ann will operate in accordance with The Salvation Army`s values. This entails exercising care and respect for all human beings.

2.    Sally Ann's trading activities will be characterized by solidarity, equity and justice.

3.    Sally Ann's products will, as far as possible, be acquired through activities controlled by The Salvation Army in developing countries.

4.    Everyone who works for Sally Ann will be given a fair compensation and assistance to improve their quality of life. Sally Ann will support them in developing an independent life with possibilities for healthy and safe alternatives outside of Sally Ann.

5.    Sally Ann will seek to select the most appropriate partners to its goals. Sally Ann will influence its partners to promote fair trade.

6.    Sally Ann will base its activities on profitability. Profit is a necessary means for access to resources, development and economic sustainability.

7.    Sally Ann will be characterized by openness in all its activities.
